My wonderful grandsons at 8 and 6. This portrait is a work in progress.  Each time I think I’m done, I discover one more area to refine.   Using sfumato technique, softly blending cheek into neckline with many layers of flesh tones to slowly build the form and shadow.

The background is meant to suggest these two boys stepping into the future, carrying their positive light and energy forward.
